Fluorite Bracelets

Fluorescence is named after fluorite. George Stokes coined the word in 1852 after watching the mineral glow under ultraviolet light. It is calcium fluoride, soft at 4 on the Mohs scale, and it grows in cubes. Miners in Derbyshire have pulled the purple and yellow banded kind out of one hill for centuries. One bracelet, 8mm beads.
